Experiencing the Collaborative Process
The Raven of Éirean Mhór
"......Elizabeth and Glenn have a way of identifying and using each cast member’s strengths and talents when they create their scripts and music for their projects. They then guide each individual in rehearsals in such a way that they draw out these strengths and talents with a final product that is simply a joy to watch and be part of. My daughter was absolutely beaming with pride after each of the two shows which was lovely to see after watching her struggle with self-confidence recently."
"I was moved to tears each and every time by the captivating and moving performances of the actors, most of them children ranging in age from about 10 to 14. "

The Mother's Tree
".....Our students were provided with daily opportunities to express themselves and take part in the creative process. From the outset, they were given frequent opportunities to engage in their own decision-making processes, which supports the kind of critical thinking skills we encourage in our school. The theme of the story was around respect for others, and the artists (Glenn and Elizabeth Copeland) set a tone for respectful collaboration between students."

"As a volunteer....being part of this production has awakened something in me that I didn't know existed and I desperately hope I can participate in another production some time in the near future. As a mother of three amazing children I have had many fulfilling experiences in my life, but I can say with complete honesty that being a part of Kidplayhouse Productions play 'The Raven of Éirean Mhór' is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life."

The Raven of Éirean Mhór
"This past summer, I performed in 'The Raven of Éirean Mhór.' It was a collaborative theater production directed and produced by Glenn and Elizabeth Copeland. It was an amazing experience. During our gatherings before the play was written, all of the cast members got to act, do improv, dance and sing together, and have an absolutely fun time!
The cast members’ parts were written according to our talents, skills, personalities and wants. Elizabeth wrote the script with the particular actors in mind. Glenn wrote the songs in the same way. After reading the script for the first time, revisions were made, as to suit everybody perfectly! When audience members commended the actors in the play, many of us heard, "It's like that role was written just for you!" Yes, yes it was! And because of this collaborative theatre process, our show was an amazing success, something I was very proud to be a part of! Michelle Tobin-Forgrave Cast Member Miramichi, NB |
